Nursery Long Term Plan

Autumn Term

Me and My Community/Nursery Rhymes

Children learn about being helpful, kind and thoughtful at home and at school. We also support in settling into school by making new friends and feeling confident in their class. We also find out how they are all unique and special and how people in their family, school and local community are important. We look forward to meeting you all!

Winter Wonderland

Children learn about the changes that happen during winter, including the types of weather associated with winter. It also explores places that have snow all year round and the types of animals that live there. Do not forget to wrap up warm!

Spring Term

Moving Machines

Children will learn all about the technology that is part of their daily lives and how machines help us. Children will have the opportunity to build and create marvellous machines! What will your machine look like?

Big Wide World

Children will use their imagination exploring fantasy characters such as superheroes, pixies, monsters. Where will you travel to?

Summer Term

Animal Safari

Children will learn about the animals that live around the world, how to look after them and the importance of caring for our local and global environments.What is your favourite animal?

Story Time

Children will develop a love of stories and reading. It encourages children to learn, retell and act out familiar and traditional tales. What stories do you already know?
